Listening is always the first step. I take the time to understand how you live, what matters to you, and where your home needs to grow.
From there, I shape a clear plan that guides decisions and keeps communication aligned between you, your builder, and the trades involved.
I think ahead to resolve issues early and bring practical design judgment when site conditions, construction details, or trade questions require decisions as the project moves forward.
The result is a home that supports your life now and continues to make sense as life changes.
meet Sarah Zheng
Sarah, founder and principal designer of Finwoods INTERIOR, brings together a background in Visual Communication Design from Emily Carr University, custom millwork experience, and a practical understanding of how homes are planned, detailed, and built.
Her Visual Communication Design training taught her to look beyond the surface, identify the real problem, organize many moving pieces, and communicate ideas clearly. That way of thinking remains at the centre of her interior design approach.
Sarah is drawn to natural materials, practical beauty, old objects, and meaningful details. Her work is direct, thoughtful, and grounded in the realities of everyday life.
